Wendy’s social media… is it a hit or a fail?

This was a project I took in a digital marketing class. My team and I analyzed Wendy’s social media strategy, focusing on how their fun, snarky Twitter personality impacts engagement and sales. While Wendy’s had strong follower growth, their revenue numbers weren’t always consistent, so we dug into why—looking at factors like competition, costs, and menu changes. We also compared their approach to competitors like McDonald’s to see what worked and what didn’t. In the end, we recommended that Wendy’s branch out beyond Twitter by creating short, fun content on platforms like TikTok and Instagram, partner with influencers, and roll out limited-time campaigns to keep things fresh and engaging.
